If you wonder why I have same shipping to European union like for rest of world it is thetherefore because for these sales needs to be paid VAT to government. There is no option in ebay software how to set it I am using part of shipping charge (and still loosing on sales to EU). If you are from EU and you will purchase 2 or more items I will arrange for you special shipping charge tha...t can be lower like for heaviest item itself! If you are from Europe but not from European union or you have valid EU VAT No., do not pay and ask me for shipping charge mentioned bellow in description.
Flexaret cameras were really cult classic in former Czechoslovakia. They were produced in Prerov city. Because they were really workhorses we used them long time for serious work - before the Pentacon six era. We loved them and they are engraved in history of Czechoslovakian photography - FLEXARET!!!
The original Flexaret II was manufactured by Optikotechna prior 1949 and has Optikotechna's name on lenses and finder top (the name was changed from Optikotechna to Meopta in 1949). However some exist with Meopta logo there it written word Prerov on finder and WLF lock is lever like was by Optikotechna. Such cameras are rare, in country of origin this type has for sure higher value like for example VI.
It was very successful and longest manufactured type. Difference between Mirar II and Belar I do not know, they seems to me to be identical. May be Belar is just renamed Mirar II.
This version is early, it was manufactured in early 50-ties.
Description:Ser. No. 3013641. Viewfinder lens Anastigmat 3.0/80 ser. No. 80158210, camera lens is Mirar II 3.5/80, ser. No. 20436398. Stops up to 22. Focus range from 1 meter to infinity. Shutter Prontor SVS with speeds 1 - 1/300, T and B.
Cosmetically is this camera MINT-. Leatherette with 1 mark on back. Viewfinder almost without wear. Black edges without marks. Chrome without scratches on taking lens barrel caused by cap. Very nice and fresh looking.
With leather case but without cap.
Camera was recently CLA therefore works properly, shutter speeds are appropriate. Selftimer works. Glass on lens is clean, no fungus, no scratches. Very good glass for this type. Focusing and stopping is smooth. Viewfinder is clean. Camera is in well working order. We are repairing, overhauling, cleaning and lubricating every camera, lens, binocular, microscope ... to restore its original functionality as much as possible. However we are not disassembling it completely and clean every part in ultrasonic cleaner separately if not necessary. If I am not satisfied how something works - considering item age and construction - I will write about it in description. You do not need ask me if it works, we did everything possible to repair it, and I believe for some groups is our repair workshop between the most qualifying in world. Get it working better can only better repairman (or with better replacement part source). However I am not manufacturing them, therefore always read carefully my description about glass, etc. Btw, if you need repair some older mechanical camera, lens, accessory, binocular or microscope you can always ask me.Air mail shipping and handling charge is WORLDWIDE $41 - INSURED; to European countries those are not in European union $26 REGISTERED (letter), it has automatic insurance coverage up to €50 (Euro) per packet, contact me, if higher insurance is required than use worldwide option. They do exist express options (EMS and business packet) to most countries of world however cost are different (expensive) you need ask about them separately.
If post will confirm that insured packet was lost or damaged (you need claim by delivery) I will replace it - when impossible refund the full amount. I need wait for post confirmation, too many crooks lately trying to have both item and money.
It is included in it incombinable $5 packing and handling charge that remains by combined shipping. Rest of charge I will combine and calculate just true shipping charge for packet to your country if you will purchase more items.
I have declared up to 10 days handling time for my items. I need this time to control and last time test every item, for items shipped out of European union put it in custom office that needs 2-3 days prepare documents and transfer packet to post office. Expected postal delivery time is usually up to 2 weeks but delays simple happens, for example in USA packet often need more days for security control in custom office. For these reasons I choose to check ebay shipping option "economy shipping ... 11-20 business days", I hope that you will get as quick as possible (in most cases you can calculate get packet 1.5-2 weeks after payment date if you are in European union, 2-3 weeks for rest of world) but really I can not affect work of custom and post offices worldwide anyway and delays can happen. Online trackable it is in some countries, for example USA, China, Japan. Contact me before making any Ebay or Paypal claim, PLEASE!
Combined shipping saves often costs per item considerably but not in all situations, ask about exact items. By very cheap item is possible ship uninsured - this will cost $3 less, but I will do it only if you will declare that you will not make any claim if packet will be lost by transport. Sorry, usually I can't reply questions during Friday-Sunday. If is some difference between description and picture usually is mistake in description, by cameras, lenses, prisms, etc, picture always show actual item (some small items like extension tubes, flash shoes, etc can be exception).
