This is the Type 011 Retina II made in Germany from 1946-49. 5cm Schneider Xenon f2 lens in Synchro-Compur shutter. Shutter speeds 1- 1/500 sec plus B. Minimum aperture f16. Coupled Rangefinder.
The camera is in very good condition overall. The lens is free of visible defects. No oil on the shutter blades. The leatherette covering is peeling along one edge under the door back - see photos, not visible with the back closed. There is some brassing on... the accessory shoe. Otherwise, the cosmetic condition is excellent. The shutter is working at all speeds but has not been verified for accuracy. The rangefinder is bright and clear, in register and appears to be accurate.
The case which has protected this 70+ year-old camera well is in fair to good condition with typical wear and a broken neck strap.
This camera will look good on the shelf or be a fun vintage shooter.
