Gundlach Turner Reich 18 " Single Anastigmat F16 In Barrel Covers 12X15
Item History & Price
The glass is actually superb on this. One of the best I've ever seen, and I have a theory that the earliest Turner Reich lenses were some of the best they ever made in that long pro...duction.
This is a fully corrected 5 element anastigmat lens that can cover 12X15 and perhaps even 14X17 formats. It can produce wonderful sharp negatives. And if you're a hiker, it's exquisitely compact. And if you're also cash challenged, I fear it won't set you back nearly as much as I wish it would!
A usable sharp 18" lens in a marvelous compact package. ULF on the ultra cheap. Of course, 8X10 and 11X14 are easy peasy with this. Inside a dark cave though, you won't like it much. She needs the great out of doors with EV14. Then she can shine!
The fine print: Also please note that because the original front group is long gone, the words Gundlach, Turner, Reich, etc. etc. are not present. All it says is 18" and the hand stamped crookido serial number. That's the way we did it 125 years ago.
