This auction is for a Greyhound Bus Drivers Uniform Hat and badge from the 1950's. The hat has a black vinyl bill, gold colored cord stretched between two uniform metal buttons over a woven band like caning on a chair that goes all around the lower edge of the hat. The uniform buttons look a lot like the badge but say: "The Greyhound Lines Coast to Coast" with the Dog Image. The size label is no longer on it but I would guess size 7... inches. The badge has The Iconic Greyhound Dog Image and say's: "Greyhound Leave the Driving to Us Over A Million Miles A Day". It measures about 2 1/2 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches tall and is attached using 2 threaded rods that goes through the hat. The badge is not maker marked but the hat has a label that say's: Custom Tailored Uniforms By Maier Lavaty Co. Chicago 7". The badge is in excellent condition with only minor wear. The hat has some wear including a hole on top, see pictures as they are a good part of the description. Please see our other auctions for more interesting items and save on combined shipping.
