Vintage authentic St Louis street lamp post w frosted glass globe dated in the early 1900s. I can't quite read the date on the top part. I think it's 1900 or 1904? Stamped K.K.C Mfg Co. Approx 12 1/2 feet installed not including the 2 1/2 foot base that would be in the ground. Has some paint loss and surface rust. From what I was told, this lamp post was originally gas lit. It was converted to electric. The wiring is there, but would need to be rewired. Lamp Post is now sitting horizon...tally and banded on a wooden crate w rollers so it can be moved around easily. 4 pieces total: cast iron post, frosted glass globe top aluminum white part of the globe and iron globe holder. The top aluminum part has a date stamped on there which I can't quite tell the last number - it's either 1900 or 1904. Also the metal globe holder filigree part has one metal leaf that has come off - I have the piece which can be welded back on. The post is marked St Louis and K.K.C. Mfg Co. This is a rare unique piece. First photo shown is not the way the post is now. This was an earlier pic of when I had it in our yard. This pic is only to show what it originally looked like.
