Incredible jacket here from Ralph Laurens western and vintage workwear influenced brand, RRL. Using a vintage American Railroad coat as a base and fusing it with Naval inspired touches, this jacket is packed with great details. Made from an Indigo dyed lightweight ...cotton fabric (almost feels like linen), the jacket features four front pockets with the two at the chest placed asymmetrically. The left chest pocket has a side entry slot originally designed for a railroad workers pocket watch, a great authentic detail. There are also two inside pockets. The front fastens all the way up to the collar and every button has a nautical anchor engraving, a reference US Naval wear. Some of the more subtle details include wool backing on the collar and sleeve linings made from a cupro blend. Excellent construction quality all round.
This is a brilliant example of RRL design. Functional and utilitarian, yet romantic and inspired at the same time. Perfect for a RRL archivist or vintage enthusiast. This originally retailed for $690, and as you can see is still brand new with tags and unworn. So this listing represents a great opportunity. Don't miss out!
