Item Description: This vintage painting shows a Taxco, Mexico street scene back in 1937. People in colorful traditional dress are carrying baskets through the narrow streets with the spires of the Church of Santa Prisca in the background. The painting is signed in the lower right, R. Maya. On the back of the painting there is a note stating that this painting was purchased in Taxco, Mexico in the summer of 1937. The painting has been framed with an attractive ha...ndcarved wooden frame. With frame, it measures 17 1/4" by 14" and the oil painting on canvas measures 14" by 11". This painting is in great vintage condition.
