Up for sale is a very cool vintage WWII era? watch band with a WWII era Rodana Automatic men’s watch attached. Possibly WW I era?The watch is not working. It will not wind. It’s crystal is missing. The dial has spotting and discoloration. The band is really cool. It features a solid piece of metal with inlaid, ribbed designs that run the length of the band.It’s a cuff style band which is mostly fixed, no real flexibility or adjustment. It fits great on a 7” wrist.It has darker ...brass inlaid metal. The inlaid metal has some flaws with some small pitting marks and a small hairline one one side.The band measures 12.5mm wide for the majority of its length. It widens slightly where the watch is held. The watch is held with a crudely fashioned, fixed plate with spring bars at each end. The distance between the lugs is approximately 15.9mm.The band is magnetic but shows no rust so I’m guessing ferrous stainless steel. The crudeness of construction, particularly where the watch is attached to the band, makes me think this was a hand made pieces, probably what would be considered “trench art”. Still very well made and the only such example I’ve ever seen.Not in perfect condition but very cool.Please add $5.99 for shipping.
