This is unpolished, and has only been washed with a water hose before the pics are taken.
I personally found this petrified oak while hiking the Texas Gulf Coast known as the Post Oak Savanna Region (see TX pic). One of several pieces found together from the same petrified oak tree. The piece is agatized showing a dark rich color and details in some spots. Once the top layer is polished off, this piece would show some amazing colors and patterns in the agatized wood.
