Over the next two or three weeks, I will be listing the rest of my personal slot car collection. Most of the cars in my collection are all original, most of them, mint to near mint, in their original boxes, with quite a few rare ones! So "be sure" to add us to your favorite sellers, so you can be notified as they are listed. They will be going on Sunday nights, around 9:00 eastern time.
Up for bid here, we have a beautiful, all original 1960's Auro...ra, Model Motoring Thunderjet 500 Slot Car. We have a harder to find "Green" #1404 Volkswagen Beetle. We've taken pictures of all sides of the car. Please use them to judge the condition. As you can see, the 50 year old VW still looks superb ! It has no cut wheel wells, no bent or broken window post, beautiful color, with a perfect flowers, perfect glass, and nice screw post. The chrome is nice on the original bumpers, but both of them are missing a little piece of the corners. The original "closed rivet" chassis has been completely gone through, cleaned and lubed. It was tested on a power pack, and sounds good. The car comes to you in it's original case, with its' original label and oiling instructions. The foam was made from vintage foam, so it is about as close as you will ever get to a mint original foam. Pretty awesome way to buy an original 1960's VW.
