This auction is for aantique STAR WRENCH CO Adjustable Combination Pipe & Nut Wrench UNIQUE St Louis This wrench came from a local flea market. From research I've tracked this to the STAR WRENCH Company, St Louis, Mo. The wrench is called a combination pipe & nut wrench. The center jaw move from side to side when you turn the knurled knob. All moving parts move freely as they were intended. The tool has signs of age, wear and use, but for it's age is in good condition.... The markings have worn away, but the shape is unmistakable. The wrench is approx. 15" long by 5" wide at it's widest point.
The tool has a line across the jaw on one side, which resembles a crack. If you look close I do not believe it is a crack. It is perfectly straight line and is on both sides of the wrench. The construction of the tool looks like a pipe wrench jaw that had been pinned to the body of the wrench.
