Up for auction is a Sioux Beaded Lizard Fetish that will measure 6" long by 3-3/4" wide without any of the drops or embellishments. The drops are 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" on each of the arms/legs as well as the tail. I think this fetish was probably done in the 1920's to 1930's. This piece is out of the Lutheran Reverend Ernest Von Kronwitter that was from Germany but was doing Missionary work in the Dakotas and other Indian Reservations in the early 1900's He collected these items and t...ook them back to Germany before World War 1 broke out.
