Offered here is a vintage hand-carved wooden artist doll “John Bull” the symbol of the United Kingdom and England in particular. He appears as prosperous farmer of the 18th Century and was created and carved by Anne Helm. The head, arms and body as well as legs and feet are carved of wood – his abdomen is heavily padded and he is dressed in white knee britches tucked into his riding boots, gray jacket with tails and black velvet collar and cuffs, blue v...est with Union Jack decoration, blue and white check bow tie and black tophat. He holds a walking stick in his right hand.
