Vintage Realistic TRC-99c Handheld Cb Radio, Wlakie Talkie, WORKS GREAT, W/CASE. From about 1970
I restored this radio to prefect condition a few months back, used it over the summer at our lake/ski house, now it’s time to make room for new “inventory”! I lubricated the switches and knobs, polished all the metals, removed all battery leakage, conditioned the case, and installed new crystals. The antenna is straight and strong, comes with all channels full. (A, B, C) 3 watts (o...ne watt less then max legal limit). It has a cool meter on the front which tells you battery strength, and when your transmitting, the power that your transmitting at. You will normally get about 2-5 miles out of handhelds like this, it just depends on the geographical and physical conditions your in. (I got about 1.5 miles in the mountains, lots of trees/ rocks as obstacles for signal) It will work with any other CB band radio. No license needed. Every part works, no big flaws, (just micro scratches) This is great for a collection or use! You can put in regular AA batteries, or rechageable NiCad batteries (I believe) and you can charge them from the port on the side. Comes with headphone and mic jack too. Has adjustable squelch knob too. SOLID, COOL, SET!
The “Buy it now” is what I payed for it, the repairs were just done as a “labour of love” for this radio. Im not listing it for any more then what I bought it for. (I always do that) I hope to see this radio go to a new, loving home! Great for adding a little more fun to a camping or resort trip! Or use it around the house!
