WELCOME! UP FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION.....You are bidding on one of my ORIGINAL art card pieces rendered in mixed media paint and colored oil pastel/ pencil. The title of this art piece is “Princess Gabrielle”. Drawn and signed by me, artist Miracle Adkins. This drawing is sketched in pencil. Then I prefer to use watercolor pencils and lay out the colors underneath the oil pastels layer which makes the oil lay down more smooth and the color is a bit more richer. I use a layer method... on all of my work and tend to work in three mediums- acrylics, watercolor and oil pastels. There are oil pastel flecks on the back of the drawing-- not to be alarmed, this is caused by the build up of oil on my work board where I create. The art piece is 2.5x3.5” and comes protected in a soft plastic and hard plastic sleeve- I advise not touching the work. Tiny display easel NOT INCLUDED. I include a small COA or certificate of authenticity. I issue no prints of these works. You are getting a truly one of a kind treasure. ATC/ACEO: What are they? Artist trading cards is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist trading cards are 2 ¹⁄₂ by 3 ¹⁄₂ inches in size, the same format as modern trading cards. ACEO is a popular selling ACRONYM that stands for ART CARD EDITIONS & ORIGNALS or ATC which means ART TRADING CARD. They are highly collectible and popular!THIS IS AN ORIGINAL of my artwork and there is no other of it’s kind. It’s 1/1 which means no prints are available and you have the only art piece I have rendered of this kind. This original will come to you signed, numbered, dated, and protected. All of my originals are done on professional grade artist papers that will last for a very long time. Background: I have been a portrait artist for the better part of over 30+ years. I've been selling on eBay for over a decade and made many friends and connections with the people who have collected my work. I have a degree in fine arts/illustration and multimedia design. I worked in digital design and the printing industry for many years before settling into a career in the field of special education. I've found that art is a great way not only to connect with children, but it breaks social barriers with almost everyone. I've sold my work at comicons and had vendors who also sell my work at conventions for me, all over the world. I've also had the pleasure of having my artwork endorsed and signed by a multitude of different celebrities who I have done portraits for over the years, which has been quite humbling. I like challenges from others and challenging myself creativity.Subject Matter: I specialize in painting just about anything and I have painted my artwork on just about everything! I enjoy rendering nostalgic cartoon character classics. Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to many of the characters featured on my work, such as Disney, Peanuts, Simpsons, Warner Bros, an so on. I sometimes render a free-handed version based on those characters, which most refer to as "fanart". Well what does FREEHANDED mean? Quite simply put, it means done without mechanical aids or devices. My work is not traced or generated with the help of a computer. I imagine things and draw/paint them or find inspiration from things around me.Framing/Displaying/Matting:The original you are purchasing from me DO NOT COME FRAMED or MATTED. As stated above, I provide a plastic sheath to keep the art clean and free from damage. Many people choose to frame and display art cards much like you may maintain trading cards- in plastic page sheath binders. Others may choose to have a series of art cards matted and framed for display. I prefer to keep mine in a nice card collector binder. You can trade them with friends, it's portable, it stores easily and safely, and displays nicely.Please Note!: Photographs will also make colors seem slightly different from their original intensity. That is why I provide a highly detailed scan of some of my portraits when they were originally rendered. My display mini easels DO NOT COME WITH THE PURCHASE. They are purely for the display of sale. However, if you are interested in mini-easels, many of them can be purchased at your local craft stores and/or Walmart crafting section for only a few dollars! :) Also, some of my ATC/ACEOs come with a small white border around the art, making the size slightly larger than the 2.5x3.5" standardization. I do this because some people like to frame the work and have a little extra space there to afix the card to something, if they are matting.
How It Arrives To Your Doorstep: I will always provide combined shipping discount on multiple purchases, please message me. I will always try to get buyers the cheapest, fastest and safest delivery means possible to get the art to your doorstep! I use USPS PRIORITY OR FIRST CLASS MAIL. Anything over 14 ounces is considered PRIORITY MAIL by default (sorry guys, not my rules). I take special care to wrap purchases in a way that will hopefully prevent damage but sometimes accidents happen when they are getting to your destination. I will always work with customers and I am reasonable, so please MESSAGE ME BEFORE LEAVING negative feedback. Communication is key!
