This is a very cute sosaku kokesi doll in Japan.This is Maruyama Hohgetsu(丸山 峰月)`s work. He resides in Yamagata prefecture and started making kokeshi from the 1950s. He is one of the artists who has been active since the creation period of Creative Kokeshi.It has the title and signature of the artist on the bottom .The title is KOHYOH(紅葉).It means autumn leaves.The back of the nameplate of this item also has the date of October 9, 1985 written. Also, thi...s nameplate is written as a wedding memorial. .
