Brief but very informative Introduction has been delivered by Mr. Paul Champkins, professionally-made photographs testify about bright talents of Mr. Alan Tabor. Book contains 138 pages with full color plates of total 156 items, with detailed descriptions including some interesting facts about folklore legends, traditions, etc. Japanese History section starts with Chronology table - from Heian period (794-1185) to Showa period (1926-1989) - and is followed by well-written Essay, which outlines important tendencies in Japanese history and its influence on Japanese arts. Excellent addition to any library of oriental arts collector. ISBN 1-872357-03-2; size of book - 11-5/8" x 8-3/8". Book is pre-owned and in good condition though with some helf wear consistent with age and visible damages, which by no means do not reduce book's value. Minor damage on lower part of spine and book's frontispiece is detached from binding: - these defects are shown on pictures.
