Absolutely Stunning Antique/Vintage - c.1920's/30'sTribal Caucasian Hand Weaved Flat Wool Pile RugFantastic And Rare Tribal Geometric Design, With Four Large Phoenix Motifs In The Center SectionA Large Central Medallion And With A Large Sparingly Decorated Multi Trestle Boarder. The Overall Design Is Relatively Minimalistic But Very Effective. Using Only A Small Collection Of Colours These Being Red (faded to orange), Ivory, Blueberry Blue, Sky Blue And Yellow Within Detail.As Y...ou Will See In The Images This Rug Has Been Subject To Some Sun-fading, Which Is Common With These Natural Dyes And Really Adds To Its Appeal, , (Image 11 Shows The Opposite Side). The Large Flat Wool Pile Weave Has Worn Over The Years But Mainly Present, But The Nature Of This Rug Is Hard Wearing And Remains Good, Strong With No Holes, Rips Or Repairs. It Does Have Some Marks Within The Pile And General Age Related Wear To Either End.. All Described Best In The Images, And Again To Be Expected.
