Large Antique Chinese Preserve/ ginger Jar together With Lid
Stoneware with blue decoration on a light blue/grey glaze.
The lid has half it's original label remaining, the text reads; 'Trade Preserve Ginger Made in Hong kong & Canton
Unusual to have a lid survive so long, I should think.
Ginger jar is 17 cm tall, 11cm across the base, Lid fits well (can't say if they started out together).
Displays beautifully.
The pot has some crazing and some surfac...e cracks. The lid has damage to the edge - as shown.
