We have to tell you this was a bit of a surprise for us and it might be for you also. Yes this skillet is marked Puritan and it was made for the Sears Roebuck Company, but this one was manufactured by the Favorite Piqua Foundry, not the Griswold Foundry. I know, we always thought Puritan was a solely Griswold made Store Line, that is until we started doing the research for this listing and with the help of the Cast Iron Collector page, it was all explained. The differences are mostly i...n the styling and we all know that Favorite Piqua made a very nice piece of cast iron back in the day. So as you look at the photographs we have included, you can easily see the Favorite Piqua touches, especially in the handle design and even the numbering and lettering is different. The is a large and and it Measures: 16&1/8" Long (with Handle) by 12&1/4" Wide (Spout to Spout) by 2&1/4" Deep/Thick. So really, we are thinking that this is more of a collector's display piece and it is an old piece also, having been made between 1919 to 1934. Making this skillet between 85 years old to 103 years old and judging from the look and style this skillet, we believe this was an earlier Puritan piece, rather than later. One other thing we thought was interesting, is that Sears Stores are gone and here is an early part of their Retail Legacy, still around having outlasted the store it was made for in the first place....We are including Free Domestic Continental U.S. Shipping also and Thank-you for visiting...
