This is a Georgian Kidney Shaped Outdoor SceneSnuff Box, this was possibly crafted in France c1800 making it around 219 yearsold, the Lid of this Snuff Box has the most Wonderful Painted Picture of a Boy and a Girl standing with a Dog talking to another Boy who is carrying a Box in a Out door Scene from the Georgian Perio...d. the Lid pulls up and opens and closes nicely and the Hinge is in good condition, the sides have a ribbed effect to the sides of the Snuff Box and the Base has a Star Burst Effect, thiswould have been owned by a Wealthy Person in the Georgian Period in a time whenthings were very different to today, and is like a Glimpse back in time, it isin nice condition with just surface wear to the Lacquer and a chip to the inside edge, and this would addsomething special to any collection
