Offered here is a wonderful pair of heart shaped horse bridle rosettes dating to the mid to late 1800’s in excellent condition as purchased from a farm auction in southern Illinois. Measuring 2 1/2 inches in diameter, the reverse buckle side takes a 1 1/2 inch leather strap.
These are in excellent condition, see pictures. I wiped them down with a damp paper towel but did not clean or polish. They are wonderful as is, great patina and no damage, dents, etc. ...Amazing condition for 150 years old. These are often found corroded and dented with the buckle side deteriorated beyond use. This pair could be used as originally intended or displayed as fine folk art featuring very desirable hearts.
