You are bidding on an antique set of 2 Meissen Blue Onion Tea Cup & Saucers. There are no cracks or chips on the cups or saucers. They seem to be in really good condition for their age. So many of these I have will have a chip on the delicate edges of the scallop but these are in great shape! The handles on these are so pretty, I think they may be called feather handles. There may be some very minor scratches from normal use and age.
The Saucer is 5 1/4" in diam...eter. The Cup is 4 1/4" in diameter on top including the handle, 3 1/2" across just the cup and around 2 1/2" tall. I have 3 different sizes of these tea cups I will be putting up for auction. This is the middle size. I am including the last picture to show the size differences but this auction is only for the set of medium cups and saucers.
I don't know much about this set so please rely on the pictures and your own research to date these. I purchased from an estate sale and am describing the items to the best of my knowledge. Because these are vintage items some wear should be expected. I have inspected the items and listed any visible flaws or damage. Please take a good look at the photos and feel free to ask questions.
