Jupiter-8 black 50mm Adapter Kiev 15 bayonet to М39 F2 2/50 Vintage Soviet Lens
The lens is in full working order. Ready for work. Lenses have slight rubbing, see photos. Aperture without oil, everything moves smoothly, focus is correct. The slightly curved front ring, seen in the photo, does not interfere with work. Front cover included.LENS SPECIFICATIONS Standard lens for rangefinder cameras Zorky, Leningrad. The first version of the lens bore the name ZK, Zonnar Kra...snogorskiy - optics1 and body parts were assembled from the Carl Zeiss Sonnar 1: 2 5 cm lens components for the Contax camera (bayonet version), donated to the Soviet Union by the Carl Zeiss Jena plant.
The optical scheme was calculated by Ludwig Bertele in the early 30s, in the USSR the scheme was recalculated by M.D. Maltsev for a domestic glass grade. Lenses with M39 threaded mount were produced in different housings, flange, white and black Jupiter-8.

The construction of the Jupiter-8 black lens is significantly simplified in comparison with the older "white" lenses. Simplified helicoid frame, which causes the front of the housing and lens unit to rotate when focusing. That is, the use of a number of filters will be limited. Also, when focusing, the aperture scale moves along with the front frame, but for convenience, two aperture scales were placed on the lens (which is not very convenient).
The focus ring is located in the center of the lens, which is more than enough for easy focusing. The course of the helicoid is smooth but not great, only 180 °. This is due to the pusher of the rangefinder leash, for all 50 mm lenses for Soviet rangefinder cameras (FED-vigilant-Leningrad, etc.), a 180 ° stroke for a single one.
The diaphragm is controlled by a ring in the front, with all the problems described above. The diaphragm itself consists of nine blackened blades. At all values of the aperture, the petals form a circle, although the corners of the slices are still observed.
Jupiter-8 has a M39 threaded mount and a flange focal distance of 28.8 mm, the latter parameter does not allow the lens to be fully used on SLR cameras (there is no focusing at infinity, only macro mode), through the appropriate adapter the lens can be installed on any mirrorless camera (except for Pentax K -01).
