Montgomery Wards AIRLINE PORTABLE RADIO Tube & Battery Operated 84GCB 1062A
This Radio originally sold through Montgomery Wards stores Circa 1940's and is and Airline Radio model 84GCB-1062A. It is operated with both tubes and batteries. This style was also referred to as a lunchbox radio. It does "look" clean and complete inside however, it is missing its battery and I have no way of testing it. It is being offered for parts, repair and or restoration purposes. ...There is some damage to the removable side of the case with some chipping to the Bakelite edges. Both top and bottom appear to be worn with scuffs. The box is 6 1/2" by 4 1/4" by 3 1/2". The removable back piece does snap into place and is held with a small screw. I'm not sure where it turns on. The volume or tuning dial has no resistance or any place where I hear a click as though it were the on/off dial. I am definitely not an expert in radios, I have taken as many pictures allowed.
