An unusual, tall measuring pitcher with many different measuring units. The clear glass pitcher measures approx. 8 1/2" tall and is in good used condition; no chips. It shows the following measuring units: 1 quart, one pint, 3 gills, 1/2 pint, 1 gill (liquid I assume). 1 pound sugar makes 1 pint. Pound flour sifted, 10 oz., 1/2 pound, 6 oz, 1/4 pound. Good milk contains 10% cream. 8 "T" cups or 4 coffee cups, 5 "T" cups, 4 "T" cups or 2 coffee cups, 3 "T" cups, 2 "T" cups or 1 coffee c...up, 1 "T" cup. 1 pound butter makes 1 pint. Liquid Weights - 24 oz., 20 oz., 1 pound, 12 oz., 8 oz., 4 oz. Looks like every type of measurement you would ever need! It has a pretty ornate base, a pour spout, & handle. It is unmarked as to brand. I believe this is probably from the Depression Era, but just a guess. A great vintage kitchenware collectible.Please examine pictures for best description and details.
