Looks to me like he possibly has a bugle on his hat (hard to see) and two bars on his shoulder patches, seems that he is a Captain in the infantry – let me know if you disagree.&nbs...p; Has canceled 3 cent tax stamp on back. I understand that such a stamp places the image sometime after August 1864. CONDITION: - Very Clean – Rich Tones – Excellent Viewing PHOTOGRAPH TYPE: - This is an original vintage photograph - not a modern copy.
