We have included a close-up scan, as you can see additional detail in the image. From the file marked "Thaw Trial". Rare images of key figures in the Evelyn Nesbit Harry Thaw Trial which took place in 1907. Harry Thaw, who was Evelyn Nesbit's husband, shot and killed Stanford White whom he accused of drugging and then raping Evelyn when she was only 16. The result of the trial was Thaw was not guilty, despite the fact that he shot White in a crowded theatre. It has been called the trial of the century. This image shows Evelyn Nesbit who once modeled for Charles Dana Gibson as a Gibson Girl.Brown Brothers retains the copyright for this image(s). Reproduction is prohibited.
