Original Description:
ATTENTION: PLEASE READ THIS FIRST BEFORE BIDDING!!!Payment is expected within 2 weeks, if there is no payment or communication after 16 days, a dispute will automatically be opened on e-bay. If you have a LEGITIMATE excuse & need more time, let me know & I will be happy to work with you. All non-paying bidders will be reported, as well as blocked from bidding. I'm forced to adopt this new policy after several people have won items and not paid for them, costing me tim...e & money.Regarding shipping: I am required by eBay to ship all orders within 24 hours of receiving your payment, or by the next business day in cases of payment on weekends or holidays. There are no exceptions to this policy. Please note that items paid for on Saturday will be shipped the following Monday (or Tuesday in case of holiday). Please be aware of the shipping fee BEFORE bidding. If you think the shipping fee is too high, blame USPS, not me! I usually do not include order summary packing slips or receipts with your item(s), if you require one inside your package just let me know.If there is any problem at all with the item(s) you purchased, or if the item(s) didn’t arrive in the mail, contact me FIRST, and I will work hard to quickly resolve the problem. Check my feedback, I treat all my customers in a fair and honorable way, please do the same with me. Before leaving feedback or opening a dispute, all I ask is that you give me a chance to know about the problem and resolve it!Yes, I always combine shipping on multiple auction wins, but to take advantage of the shipping discount you must pay for everything at once, NOT separately. If purchasing multiple buy-it-now items, please use the add item to shopping cart feature then pay for everything together & you'll automatically receive the combined shipping discount. If you pay for multiple items separately on the same day, the PayPal fees will be deducted from your shipping refund.International customers: if you want a package registered, then you MUST pay the additional fee. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. I do not and will not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and international government regulations prohibit such behavior.Attention to all customers in Europe: due to the virus there are delays in shipping with many USPS packages. The delivery may take much longer than normal, and unfortunately there is nothing we can do but wait & try to be patient. Please keep this in mind when buying from me or any other U.S. based seller. I ship all packages quickly but once USPS has them it's out of my control. Everyone please stay safe & God bless you!Description: Original WW2 photo (7.75 x 5.9 inches), with 1 edge tear in the border area at the bottom-left corner, plus 1 small circular spot of discoloration. Great stateside photo of 1st Lt. Alexander H. Townsend (1919-2010) & what I believe to be his wife posing in a Fifth Ave. studio in NY. He was originally from Florida. He was in Co. H, 505th PIR, 82nd A/B Div. He served in the Sicily campaign but was later captured on D-Day in Normandy & sent to Oflag64, later moved to Usedom, Poland, surviving captivity then returning to the states. The photo comes in a beautiful glass frame with a stand on the back. The frame measures 8.1 x 6 inches. This great piece of WW2 airborne history comes from my personal collection. Thanks for looking!
Attention e-bay staff: this item or items is obsolete, just vintage & collectible military relics, and is NOT current issue. It has nothing to do with law enforcement.
