Description: Here for auction is this lovely antique French Sevres porcelain clock case! It has a marvelous scrolled form, and all handpainted with pink roses and other foliate motifs. It has a green anchor logo on the bottom of Vion & Baury, a French Sevres example, circa late 19th C. The clock movement has a handpainted porcelain face, and Roman numbers. It is fine quality, like the porcelain case. Condition: The case has a small repair to... its apex, slight nicks to the round opening, and a fine hairline to one foot that probably happened in the firing; all very minor. The movement appears original, but not complete. It is missing hands and probably other parts. It is numbered as shown. Dimensions: approx. 6" X 9" X 17 1/2" high; the face is approx. 3 1/2" in diameter.
