These amazing and scarce original photos cameout of a first time to market private photograph collection from approximately 1890 to 1901, with many of them documenting a German contingency and German forces that were part of the Eight NationAlliance and their travels to China before and during the Boxer Rebellion. All original and most are in exceptional condition. Many veryscarce and rare photos are in the collection. We will continue tolist photos fr...om the collection over the next two months. Most of thephotos in the collection are from China, however, a few are from the travels toSingapore, Italy, and a few other ports of call. Many of the cards havebeautifully handwritten descriptions of the location depicted in German underthe actual photos. Both photos share one single cardwith an antique albumen photo on the front and back of one card and is not twoseparate photo cards. The photos are more than 100 years old and are not modern-dayreprints.
