      Favourite Seller? - Click to add!           Japy Freres Large Baroque Gilt Bronze Clock~ French - Circa 1890 ~~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~A beautiful original antique French Baroque style clock by the famous maker Japy Frères. It is very well made in gilt bronze. The front is formed of a goddess mask surrounded by twirling foliage and floral swags allowi...ng a glimpse of the pendulum swinging within.   The dial is porcelain enamel with a bronze centre and original blued steel hands.The French movement is by Japy Freres and is of the makers usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some tiny nibbles to the winding holes and some faint hairlining.

Movements are thoroughly tested until we are satisfied that they will run trouble free.  Duty and Taxes - Most countries do not charge import duty on antiques. Some countries charge sales tax. For USA this will be collected by ebay. For UK VAT is included in the price and we pay that for you. For Australia there is sales tax, it will be collected by the courier. All other countries please check your customs website for details. Sadly we have no control over your countries tax regime!International Shipping is no problem - fully insured We use a premium courier such as UPS, DHL etc or a dedicated/specialist antiques courier.
