The height of this beautiful, large antique lamp is 22" with a shade that is 13" in diameter, and a height of 8". This shade has 6 matching panes of artfully curved slag glass, with a combination of colors th...at is mouth watering, and quite rare. I have found no evidence of chips, cracks, or other damage to the glass, and the metal is in the same excellent condition. The metal has no weak spots, or cracks that I can find, and the tabs on the inside are all present, holding the glass nicely in place.
The reverse painted base of the lamp is 9" wide at the bottom, providing a very stable support. I have been able to find no evidence of damage or abuse to the glass or metal here as well. The inside of the base can be beautifully lit by a bulb, activated by an easily accessible switch at the base of the lamp. The upper bulbs are lit by nicely working pull chains . I can see that the lamp has been rewired, with upper sockets not original. The lower inner socket is believed to be original. They all work well. I think someone has gone to the trouble to locate a period style cord, which looks quite nice, in near-new condition.
Please consider that this lamp is an antique, and by its very nature of being old, is not "dead mint" or perfect. Kindly consider any manufacturing imperfections indicative of when it was made, and wear consistent with age, contact, handling and usage. Also, you may have noticed that the shade and base probably did not start out together, but were matched by someone later in life, making it the beautiful, one of a kind creation that it is.
Shipping is generally via fedex, but this can vary depending on cost. Also, if you only have a PO Box listed with eBay, please try and provide a physical address, because Fedex does not deliver to PO Boxes, and USPS can be more expensive with heavier items, such as this lamp.
