Item History & Price
Fantastic Four 66_CBCS 4.0_like CGC_1st part orig. of HIM (Adam Warlock)_OW pages. Shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
This is an AFFORDABLE copy of Silver Age KEY book Fantastic Four #66. This book features the first part of the two-part origin of HIM aka Adam Warlock. The 'beehive' mentioned on the cover is that thing you can see during the end credits of Guardians of the Galaxy 2. This copy has some wear & tear, but it's on the back cover and around the ed...ges and corners on the front cover. Not only is Kirby's great cover art intact, but check out those bright colours! If you want to grab an FF #66 before Adam Warlock's appearance in the MCU, but you don't have a lotta money, this book is for you!I've been collecting since 1982. I have a large collection that contains a lot of Silver & Bronze & Copper Age comics and I will be SELLING THEM ALL!!! I moved house and it’s more humid where I am now. Not a good change for the comics! I’d rather let other collectors have fun with these books than watch them go to waste. Prior to my decision to sell them, I didn’thave a single one slabbed, and I started doing that in 2018. Nothing has had time to deteriorate further, so the grade you see on the slab will be accurate. ENJOY!!!I will insure books when shipped and all will ship in a BOX. NO padded envelopes.PLEASE NOTE THAT ANYTHING SELLING FOR $500+ WILL HAVE SIGNATURE TRACKING!!!Signature tracking will also be provided FREE OF CHARGE to any buyer who requests it. I’m happy to hit porchpirates where they live.PLEASE NOTE: Buyers who cannot pay promptly need to CONTACT ME. I do NOT wait for a week wondering if I’m going to get paid. I have no problem holding an item for a few days (we all understand things like PayDay Friday), even up to a week or two, but there needs to be a mutually acceptable schedule established for when payment/shipping will take place. IF a buyer does not communicate with me, and payment is not received withinthree days of auction end, I WILL OPEN anunpaid item claim. Just to let everyone know, I do NOT use reserve prices. I would NEVER treat buyers like that. My starting bid is my reserve.INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Remember that even if I’m offering free shipping, you will still need to pay eBay for their Global Shipping Program. As soon as your purchase leaves the USA, you are paying for the international shipping regardless.INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WHO WANT TO USE EBAYGLOBAL SHIPPING: If you have purchased, or are planning to purchase, more than one item through eBay’s Global Shipping andwould like to COMBINE SHIPPING, contact me and wait for a reply BEFOREpaying for anything. There is a wayto combine shipping for international Global Shipping buyers at NO ADDITIONALCOST to the buyer, but we will need to work together to accomplish that.FIXED-PRICE ITEM BUYERS: Please contact meif you would prefer to have a domestic Priority Flat-Rate box rather than adomestic regional-rate box. I will be happy to change that for you. Shipping cost forthe medium Priority Flat-Rate box is $15.05 and I can easily fit two slabbedbooks per box. Threeis possible, though I’d rather there be more packing material. I will also swap domestic Flat-Rate fordomestic regional-rate. Keep in mindthat a regional-rate box is slightly skinnier than a flat-rate box and I canonly fit two slabs maximum into it safely.MAGAZINE-SIZED ITEMBUYERS: The USPS regional-rate box is longerthan the flat-rate box and as such I Will Not Ship magazines in aflat-rate box! Sorry for anyinconvenience, but flat-rate boxes are too small for magazines and that’s justthe way it is.Regarding the Newton Rings or ‘rainbow smudge’effect inside a CGC slab: This happenswhen different types of plastics come into contact and produce what looks likean oily rainbow smear inside the CGC slab. It is not caused by a foreign substance and there is no damage to thecomic or slab whatsoever due to this effect. It’s normal and the design of the hard plastic shell with the innerprotective sleeve inside it makes this an inevitable occurrence in many cases. For reasons unknown, CBCS slabs do not seemas prone to Newton Rings. To the best of myknowledge, I do NOT have The Virus (eBay won't let me name it - sorry), butgiven the lengthy incubation period, no one can make promises. With that in mind, Iam going to recommend that until at least 72 hours pass from the date/time seenon tracking as the time when USPS came into possession of the eBay item, you donot open the box or handle its contents without taking appropriate precautions. The Virus can live on a hardplastic surface – like the surface of a CGC/CBCS slab – for up to 72 hours. Please take care. Some chemicals can have an adverse effect on plastics, so I haveexperimented on a slabbed book in my collection and found that wiping with 91%isopropyl alcohol and allowing it to airdry (a method recommended by the CDC forremoving The Virus from surfaces) does NOT cloud the plastic case. Keep in mind that I wiped the surface, I didnot drown it, and I was very careful to only dampen around seams where theliquid could leak inside the case.
