1934 Vintage Press Photo by ACME.Melvin Purvis, United States Department of Justice Agent, photographed a few hours after he had brought his four and a half month hunt for gangster John Dillinger to a close by leading a squad of agents in killing him outside a Chicago Movie House.
Photo is Dated: July 23, 1934.
