Measures approximately 24 1/2" high by 6 1/8" diameter at the base.
Overall excellent condition. A few exceptions:One chip to what is primarily the underside of the marble base - see last photo.
There is a small stress fracture near the hemline on the back of the maiden's dress - see photo number 8. You can just barely see the fracture on the left side of the bottom of her dress.There is a h...ole at the base on the back of the sculpture where it looks like an electrical cord or a switch was formerly placed.
This is a beautiful Victorian period lamp in wonderful condition and with beautiful patina.
Ernest Rancoulet (B - 5 April 1842; D - 1905) was a French sculptor best known for his Neoclassical bronze figures of mythological creatures, society women, and athletes. Rancoulet participated in the Paris Salon for several years, regularly exhibiting his elegant figurines and portrait busts.
