For sale is a hand painted oval porcelain plaque from KPM of Berlin, an image of Jesus Christ with a crown of thorns. Size of the gold leaf frame is 15 3/4" X 13 1/2". Size of the hand painted porcelain oval plaque is about 7 3/4" by 10". The reverse side has a very light impressed M with "451" above it. There is what appears a hand written "X" mark, as well as what appears to be a hand written name, perhaps the artist; likely created in late 19th century. This amazin...g plaque is in EXCELLENT condition, with no chips, cracks, etc. It still retains its original frame, that has some cracking in the gold leaf, and some gold leaf loss around the edges in a few places, and the original paper backing has been removed so the plaque's impressed marks can be seen. The frame is marked "ECCE HOMO" on the fron side below the portrait of Jesus, which I assume is Latin.
