This is a cool old calculator that uses Nixie tubes for the display and core memory for storage. It's a Sharp Compet 361. Unfortunately it's not working. When I first tried it, only two lights, not Nixies, lit up. I decided to open it up to see if I could find anything simple wrong. I wassurprised to find it uses a small block of core memory, an 18 x 28 array. Anyway, I cleaned theedge connectors and reseated the boards and tried it again. Same thing, but after 5 minutes orso, the ...Nixies all lit up zero's. This only happened once, I was lucky to get the photos. It hasnot happened again. When they were lit, pushing the keys did nothing. So it's sold as-is as a neat collectable or for restoration.
