Ancient Chinese Ming Dynasty Horse and Rider - CHINA - 1358 to 1644 AD
Nice, classic example of a sancai-glazed horse and rider from the Ming Dynasty. Developed during the Tang Dynasty, Sancai means literally "three colors". It is a versatile type of decoration on Chinese pottery using glazes or slip, predominantly in the three colors of brown (or amber), green, and a creamy off-white. Solid-molded horse figure, with rider's head separate from ...rider's body. Minor chips/scratches but no major issues. Some old dirt encrustation throughout (see photos) . Part of my personal collection I am selling to downsize.
12.75 Inches Tall 11 Inches long
Ex: Los Angeles Collection
$29 shipping/handling in the United States due to size and fragility. Will be double-boxed.
