This rare, vintage 1926 RCA Radiola30 Antique Tube Radio is up for sale. Priced at $575 on release, very few ofthe ~11, 000 units produced remain. It isa beautiful radio, with fantastic wood inlays and makes for a great showpiece. As you can see in the pictures, theradio’s finish has been slightly worn over the years but overall is in goodcondition. Included with the radio arethe original owner’s manual, service notes, and replacement parts list. The left fr...ont of the radio opens toreveal a panel with controls for adjusting the receiving loop antenna, and ajack for connecting an external loudspeaker. The door in the center of theradio folds down to reveal the radio head unit, with the dual 'stationselectors' (tuning knobs), as well as a volume control, 'battery setting'rheostat, and another jack for connecting headphones. The radio head unit canbe pulled out past its first stop to reveal a socket strip with 7 Radiotrons.The 8th socket remains vacant as the final audio amplification is provided by a#10 tube in the power supply unit, which is housed behind another door on the right-handside of the unit. Electrically this radio is complete, however it has not been turned on in quite a few years. I need to downsize my collection somust part ways with this beautiful but large radio.
