This is an excellent Stereo card of the Citadel of Aleppo, Syria showing a number of camels. It is from a Keystone “Tour of the World” 1200 card set from the 1930's. The card is titled "The Massive Double Gate of the Picturesque Citadel of Aleppo, Syria." and is numbered 740 with a Keystone negative number of V33630. This card was included in the Rare 1200 card set, but not the more common 600, 300, or 100 card sets so it is much harder to find than the more common cards that wer...e included in these smaller sets. This card is in excellent to near mint condition and measures 3 1/2" by 7”. The back of the card is printed with information about the subject. Stereoviews or stereo cards have two nearly identical images mounted side by side. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
