THIS DOLL IS IN POOR CONDITION, AND IS OFFERED FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION. Offered here is an original, vintage "BUDDY LEE" advertising character doll. It is made of COMPOSITION, and was probably made in the 1930's or 1940's. (After 1948, the company made the doll in plastic.) He measures between 12 & 1/2 to 13 inches tall. I believe that he is wearing a COWBOY outfit, consisting of a plaid shirt & well made (with copper rivets) denim jeans. The jeans have a patch marked: ..."UNION MADE LEE." As mentioned, the condition is POOR. The biggest flaw is that A LARGE CHUNK OF HIS RIGHT FOOT IS MISSING. Also, there is HEAVY PAINT LOSS on the top & sides of his head, and down the left side of his body. The remaining paint is flaking and has cracking and crazing. The OUTFIT is a bit soiled, but still pretty nice, with no tears. Sorry - he is MISSING his hat & scarf. The belt is badly worn in the area where it buckles. I think it is a good candidate for RESTORATION - with some putty, sanding and new paint, he can be brought back to life. It is guaranteed to be old & ORIGINAL, or your money back.
