Original Description:
Own a piece of maritime history! A magnificent wooden ship model half hull from the Tyneside, UK, yard of William Dobson & Co. c. 1900. This is not simply a half hull model of a vessel but a builder's model used directly in the riveted construction of iron and steel hulled ships. The architect's annotations on the planks are clearly visible. This massive model stretches 87"L x 9 1/2"H x 6"D. It is too large to be mounted in our home so we have had to photograph it resting... on our couch. It comes with two mounting holes spaced at 62 3/4". It shows a beautiful patina of age with minimal dings and scrapes. A magnificent addition to a board room, yacht club, fireplace mantle, or man cave. Shipped by Flat Rate Freight to lower 48 addresses or free local delivery to SF and Monterey Bay areas.
