Up for auction is an antique early 19th century unglazed redware apple butter storage jar or crock recently found at auction in the Lancaster County PA area. It is found in good used condition. Condition issues include approx 1.5" chip to outer rim. Quite dirty, could benefit from a proper cleaning. Notable glitches in the making common with older pots. Manganese glazed interior. Wonderful natural patina to unglazed outer. Unsigned unmarked.&nb...sp; Interior diameter approx 3.5". Desirable glaze.
