This is a wood pitman arm for a vintage Singer treadle sewing machine cast iron base. These came on the early treadles, before Singer changed to the more common steel pitman arm. This one is from a 1901 machine. This 117 year old arm is in great condition and has been cleaned back to the original natural maple color. This one carries the patent date of May 18, 1884. This arm is 14" long and the mounting holes are on 11" centers. Singer also made a 16" version that was seen on more indu...strial models. Be sure yours is the shorter 14" version. These are not interchangeable with the steel version. The wheel crank and the footplate are different. Includes the washer and pin for the foot plate. Will fit any treadle that used the wood pitman arm. Get Grandma's old treadle looking great again with this clean arm. This will really jazz up your machine.
