Thisis a late Victorian silver and enamel vesta case, the front decoratedwith three maritime flags. The flags read 'BJQ', which apparentlymeans 'combustibles', as detailed on the rear of the lip. It is fullyhallmarked for London 1886, with the makers mark of TJ for ThomasJohnson, with an Rd No. of 59781. The vesta measures 49mm by 33mm andweighs 34g. A tiny loss at the top of the flagpole, as I have triedto show, and light surface scratches but generally good with atight closure and hi...nge.
