Up for auction is a classic, superbly animated MGM Droopy dog cartoon from 1954 directed by the legendary and prolific director, Tex Avery and produced by Fred Quimby, "Dixieland Droopy".
When his favorite record breaks, John Pettybone (Droopy) - a jazz loving junk yard dog discovers a Dixieland jazz composed of fleas. Droopy does his best to fight off adversaries trying to steal the super-talented fleas from him, but in the end, makes it to the Hollywood Bowl where he p...lays bandleader to the jazz-playing insects. A must-have classic.
On faded stock, but with some blues still present. No splices and very clean print.
Comes on a 400' reel and even includes the original MGM lab leader (see photo)! No VS.
