16mm Famous Studios POPEYE Cartoon: PRE - HYSTERICAL MAN (1948) Dinosaur Rare

This auction is for a very good condition 16mm black and white print of the POPEYE cartoon PRE-HYSTERICAL MAN (1948). The print is complete from head to tail with only one splice during the body of the cartoon. This print has the A.A.P. open and close and the original opening card.
Overall, the image is clean with just an occasional fine, black line or two that come and go (mostly near the start). There are some normal "speckles" here and there. There i...s no vinegar odor. The focus is nice and sharp and the sound is clear as a bell.
There is a splice just prior to the complete opening fade-in and one after the complete fade-out.
PRE-HYSTERICAL MAN ran about 6:44 on my Eiki projector and is mounted on a nice, 400 foot metal reel. This film was carefully cleaned with Film Renew just before being listed for auction. It's 100% ready to enjoy.

In this one, Popeye and Olive venture to the top of a tall mountain in Yellowstone Park. Olive falls off a precipice and gets captured by a caveman (looking suspiciously like Bluto!) at the bottom of a deep canyon. Even a dinosaur becomes part of the amusing narrative!
