This is a RARE 16mm COLOR print of“EAST OF EDEN”, a 1955 Warner Bros. release, directed by ELIA KAZAN, starringJAMES DEAN, JULIE HARRIS, RAYMOND MASSEY, and JO VAN FLEET. This terrific KAZANadaptation of the JOHN STEINBECK novel made a star out of JAMES DEAN, who wasnominated posthumously for a BEST ACTOR OSCAR. This is a used library print, mountedon four 1600 ft. reels. It’s mostly in warming Eastman color, but the end ofreel three and the start of reel four are in BEAUTIFUL I ...B TECHNICOLOR (aboutfifteen minutes total). There’s no vinegar anywhere in the print. This is theCOMPLETE FULL-LENGTH FEATURE, and a top JAMES DEAN collectible.
