Micro Switch Keyboard made by Convergent Technologies
This keyboard has 4B1S 1.1oz Square stepped momentary switch using logic scan (4pin +5V, Out, In, Gnd)
This is a non-tactile, low impact micro switch keyboard, quite the departure from beam or buckling spring styles. Invented by Leroy B. Keely, Michael J. Nuttall, William G. Moggridge.
We believe but have not confirmed this keyboard was manufactured in early 1982 or no earlier than Nov 1981. The... original purchaser was the United States Air Force.
Things we know for sure: it needs a really good cleaning, the switches are dirty and definitely not factory smooth like you would expect. The electronics look good and are not corroded.
We are accepting returns for shipping damages and any other issues not discussed here, it is being sold as UNTESTED AS-IS. Feel free to ask any questions you want about this keyboard, we will answer with whatever we know.
On Dec-03-20 at 21:03:40 PST, seller added the following information:Just to clarify since some people may not know this. This is an ULTRA RARE HONEYWELL MICRO SWITCH KEYBOARD. It's arguably rarer than the classic "space cadet" board as it uses 4 pin logic scan instead of 3 pin sink pulse or timed repeat configurations. That is the only thing to add, happy bidding!
